Tournament Rules

Normal FINA Rules shall apply

Coaches will be required to referee matched where required.

All matches will start on time as indicated by the program and a team guilty of contravening this shall forfeit the match

Points will be awarded as follow: Win = 2 points, Draw = 1point, Loss = 0 points

Positions shall be determined by the team with the highest points

Should there be a tie then the following shall determine the winner:
a.) Result of the fixture between the two teams
b.) Goal Difference
c.) Goals For
d.) Goals Against

In the positional playoff matches, should the match end in a draw:
a.) 2 x 3 minutes extra time shall be played and then a
b.) Penalty shoot out shall determine the result

Any player excluded for brutality shall be excluded without replacement for the time of half a chukka of that particular section and shall be suspended for a minimum of two matches, and shall be required to appear before a disciplinary hearing immediately after the match

Any coach /manager who receives a red card shall immediately be suspended for one match. Should he/she receive a second red card he/she will be suspended for a minimum of a further and shall be required to appear before a disciplinary hearing immediately after the match

The disciplinary tribunal shall comprise the following personnel:
The tournament technical director
Venue coordinator
The Referee who excluded the player
A representative from the player’s provincial management
