The Tour Fee Breakdown

The tour fee is set at R3490.00.
(Which does not include travel and is payable immediately)

The reduction is due to a very positive response to the call for sponsorships as well as the elimination of certain items in the players essential kit which will only be introduced from 2009. (Such as water polo caps and sandals.)

Players carry the full cost of a) 10 sponsored players and b) 27 traveling staff as well as some non traveling, administrative staff such as the services of a professional bookkeeper. Some capital expenditure towards things such as catering equipment and the travel fee of the sponsored players has also had to be incurred.

The total cost will lessen with the reduction of sponsored players and corporate contributions.

All remaining funds will be donated to the water polo foundation that does not allow the withdrawal of deposited funds. The interest of the funds in the account will be used to lessen the annual burden on the parents in terms of the amount that they contribute towards the staff section of the tour fee as well as administration and development. The tour fund may not keep any funds at the end of the tour and a complete set of books will be made available to parents who are interested.

A final breakdown will be provided on 3 December 2008 and will then not be changed.
